This is a local service for Hampshire, East Dorset and South Wiltshire.
Our Citroën work takes us through Portsmouth, Fareham and Southampton, up to Winchester, across the New Forest and out to Salisbury. If you're searching for Citroen key replacement near me from beyond those borders, someone based closer to you is the better bet.

At your vehicle
Most Citroëns use a remote flip key, the blade folding into the fob. The C1, C3, C4 and Berlingo nearly all do. Certain older Citroën blades have an awkward, tightly-tolerated profile, and many locksmiths walk away from them. It can take a few blanks before one comes out just right, but we persist until it turns cleanly in every lock.

At your vehicle
Citroën keys follow the same rules as Peugeot, and getting them right matters.
On 2019-onwards models, a security PIN has to be bought from Citroën using your ownership details before a new key can be added; earlier cars need no PIN. Either way the logbook and your photo ID are the first things on our list. Later Citroëns on the shared Stellantis platform also need exactly the right transponder chip, with the car's battery held steady throughout, because a voltage drop can harm the electronics.

The C1 and the Berlingo each have their own.
The original C1 was built in the same factory as the Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo, and all three keys work the same way. With every key lost, a Citroën C1 key means taking more of the dash apart to get at the immobiliser, so it runs longer than most small-car jobs, yet it's still completed at the car.
The Berlingo is a hard-working van, and its ignition is known for sticking and then refusing to turn. We repair or replace the barrel on site, and a Berlingo key, lost or worn out, is made at the van too. See ignition repair.

Citroën key prices turn on the model, the type of key and whether one still works.
A spare is cheaper than replacing your last key. We quote from the registration before setting out, take no deposit, and talk through any change before carrying on. Bigger faults are assessed in person, and a call-out charge applies for tracing the root of the problem.

Your questions
It depends on the model, whether it's a flip key or remote, and whether a working key remains; a spare is the cheaper job. We quote a fixed price from your registration before travelling anywhere in Hampshire, East Dorset or South Wiltshire, with no deposit and a twelve-month guarantee on the key.
Yes. The C1 is a triplet of the Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo, and with no key left it takes a little longer, as part of the dashboard has to come out. It's still done at your car. Have your V5C and photo ID ready.
We only cover Hampshire, East Dorset and South Wiltshire, because the work is done at your car. If you're elsewhere, look for a mobile auto locksmith in your area; Citroën keys are made the same way, and someone local will be with you far sooner than we could.

What customers say
"I cannot recommend Alec enough. My transit custom lock was not turning. I did not know Alec at this point and called another locksmith. To cut a long story short the other locksmith attempted a repair and then gave up, leaving me with a van I could no longer use. I called Alec who came out next day; he repaired the damage done by the other locksmith and custom made a replacement ignition barrel so one key still does the doors and the new ignition. I couldn't be more pleased. Price was very fair too!"
"Did the work at a 3rd of the price of the dealership and I'm sure to a higher quality, the work was quick and professional. Could not recommend more!"
"Absolutely spot on! After ringing about 15 different companies who said they couldn't help and one company even saying the series of my car doesn't exist I found smarttech who I contacted who could finally help! The next day he came out and I now have access and a new key to my car! Fast and efficient polite service! Highly recommend!!"
