Vauxhalls from 2019 onwards need a security PIN before a new key can be added; earlier models don't.
On those newer cars the PIN is bought from Vauxhall against the car's ownership details, so have the V5C and photo ID ready; with those, the PIN and the key are sorted on the same visit. Vauxhalls from around 2018 onwards are Peugeots underneath, so they follow Peugeot's rules: the right chip type and the battery held steady while we program. Older Chevrolets, incidentally, are Vauxhalls with a different badge.

On a Corsa C, the stem at the back of the ignition breaks, so the key rotates and nothing follows. Corsa D barrels wear until the wafers ride up and lock the key. My Vauxhall remote's buttons have fallen out. Do I need a new key?
